FRONT ROW, SRI MERSING WIN ROYAL SEVENS

Singa Front Row Club (FRC) beat Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) in the cup final to win their first ever NS Royal Sevens title. The Front Row Club edged SCC 17-14 in a thrilling finale at the MPS Field in Seremban on Sunday. FRC got through to the final after defeating home club NS Wanderers 26-12 in the last four, while SCC beat SSTMI Tsunami 24-0 in the semifinals. Cobra Rugby Club claimed the Plate after beating NS20 19-7, and Tsunami Eagles bagged the Bowl as they hammered Singapore Police B 36-0.

SMK Sri Mersing stunned tournament favourite, Tengku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) to claim the School Under-16 Cup. The Mersing boys won the final with a well-deserved 20-12 victory. King George V School (KGV) took the U16 Plate after a 24-14 win over Sekolah Sains Tuanku Jaafar (STJ). Sekolah Dato Abdul Razak (SDAR) claimed the Bowl with a 12-0 victory over South African Islamia College. A total of 32 teams participated in the 19th edition of the International NS Royal Sevens this year.
