TIGER WOODS WINS WGC-BRIDGESTONE FOR AN EIGHTH TIME
Tiger Woods continued his awesome record in World Golf Championships (WGC) tournaments by winning his eighth WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. The world No.1 could not maintain his first 2 days performances, he produced a two-under 68 on Saturday. And he played safe and smart, parring 16 holes in an even-par 70 Sunday to coast to a seven-shot victory at Firestone Country Club. He last won at here was in 2009.
After a second-round 61, Woods ended up at 15-under 265 to easily beat defending champ Keegan Bradley and Swede Henrik Stenson. Both finished joint second with 8-under par.
Woods has already won five championships this season which makes 18 career wins from 41 starts in the World Golf Championships series. With 79 career wins so far, the 14-time major winner is also closing in on Sam Snead's all time US PGA tour win record of 82.
