GAVIN WINS PUTRA CUP INDIVIDUAL TITLE

Malaysia's Gavin Kyle Green won the Putra Cup individual title at the South East Asian Amateur Team Championships, edging out tournament favourites, Philipine's Jonathan Delos Reyes. The 19-year-old consolidated his growing reputation in the amateur scene by winning the tournament with an impressive 14 under par 274 total.

Gavin beat Reyes after carding a final round 4 under 68, while the local hope managed a one under par 71. However, in the men's team event, the Philipines fired a 24 under 840 total to claim the honours.

The  Kuching Rugby Football Club  (KRFC) Blackcatz emerged victorious in the highly anticipated  Song Kheng Hai Sevens  rugby tournament, claiming the title after a decisive 26-12 victory over  Asajaya RC  in the Cup Final. The match, held at the Song Kheng Hai ground, showcased the skill and determination of both teams, but the  Blackcatz  proved to be the dominant force throughout the competition. Muamalat Bullets proved once again why they are one of the fiercest forces in Malaysian rugby, clinching the PULAPOL 10s title with a commanding 19-7 victory over hosts PULAPOL KL in the Cup final.
