NWAKAEME RETURNS GIVE PAHANG OPENING WIN

Pahang got a good start in the new season of Liga Super with a convincing 3-1 victory over Kuala Lumpur. The Elephants did not face much problem against the City Hawks as Dickson Nwakaeme showed an amazing comeback to M-League with two goals.

Pahang opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Indonesian winger Saddil Ramdani scored his first goal for the club. Pahang took control of the game and Nwakaeme started to show what has been missing from Pahang after 2015.

Kuala Lumpur brought in Afiq Ahmad Razali after the break and the youngster got the equaliser in the 48th minute. However, three minutes later Pahang went ahead again. Nwakaeme capitalised on a goalkeeper’s spill to give the Elephants a 2-1 lead.

The goal seemed not enough for Nwakaeme as he kept going forwards. Four minutes into the added-time, Nwakaeme made it 3-1 as he scored his second goal of the game.
