KEDAH MOVE A STEP CLOSER TO LAST EIGHT

PIALA MALAYSIA: JDT II 2 - KEDAH 3

Kedah showed their strength in the 2016 Malaysia Cup competition after edging JDT II with 3-2 win at Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium on Tuesday. Baddrol Bakhtiar was the saviour for Kedah after the Red Eagles midfielder brilliantly netted the winning goal in 56th minutes.

Kedah open the gap through Shane Smeltz in 13th minutes before Paulo Rangel hit with an equalizer for JDT II in 36th minutes. Syazwan Zainon put Kedah back to the lead a minute later before Zaquan Adha level up the score a minute before half time.

With two matches to spare, Kedah now leading the Group A standings with 10points while JDT II remain in third with three points.
