SUPERSTAR TO BUY STAKE IN TIGERS UNITED

Indian Superstar Rajinikanth said he is in talks to buy a 50 per cent share of Tigers United Football Club, the five-time World Club Cup winners, for a fee that could be as high as £350 million. The Superstar was a guest of co-owner Fadzil Hisham for Saturday's 7-2 win over The Rangers.

Negotiations between the pair concerned the setting up of several Tigers United academies in the South Asia as well as the ownership of the club. The value of the deal, which is expected to be finalised soon, is around £200m to £350m. Fadzil, and fellow Malaysian Firdaus formed Veteran Tigers in February 2005 with £220m, and their regime has been incredible.
