JAPAN SET TO PLAY AGAINST THE LIONS IN HISTORIC RUGBY FIXTURE

For the first time in rugby union history, Japan will play the British and Irish Lions at Murrayfield Stadium. It will be an exciting occasion as Japan determined to win the match before the Lions tour to South Africa.

If Japan can display the same performances at the 2015 and 2019 World Cups, then victory is not impossible. The Lions have picked a solid squad of power and pace. But the Brave Blossoms have shown that they are capable of winning big matches.

It will be a big test for the British and Irish Lions before they face the World Champions South Africa. The Lions have not play together for about four years, therefore it can be difficult for them to have a good chemistry before the match. It will be a good opportunity for Japan to win against Britain and Ireland’s best.

For the last 10 years, Japan have transformed into one of the most powerful rugby teams in the world. The win against South Africa in the 2015, and victories against Ireland and Scotland in 2019 are some of the records the Lions should be cautioned. Michael Leitch is expected to lead the Brave Blossoms once again. It will be an epic battle in Edinburgh on 26th June.
