GOOD START FOR SRI LANKA IN U20 SEVENS SERIES

Sri Lanka won the Malaysia leg of the Asia Rugby U20 Sevens Series in Johor on Sunday. The Young Tuskers defeated the determined South Korean 38-0 in the final. Sri Lanka took control of the game from the start and recorded a half-time lead 21-0. South Korean struggled to maintain their good form throughout the tournament, and fell further after the break.

Japan clinched the third place finishing after beating Malaysia 41-0. Thailand claimed the Women Under 20 title with a 7-5 win over Kong Kong in the final. The second leg of the Asian Under 20 Rugby Sevens tournament will be held in Hong Kong, on August 12.
