JIMMY WALKER WINS SONY OPEN BY 9 STROKES

Jimmy Walker won the Sony Open for the second year in a row with a nine-shot victory at the Waialae Country Club. The 36-year-old American, who took a two-stroke advantage into the final day, stretched clear with a seven-under 63 to finish on 23 under par.

Compatriot Scott Piercy was second after closing with a 66, with England's Brian Davis tied sixth after a 67. Scot Russell Knox was tied 13th with Englishmen Paul Casey and Luke Donald tied for 30th and 51st respectively.

Victory for Walker was his fourth on the PGA Tour and came a week after he was beaten in a play-off by Patrick Reed at the Tournament of Champions. It took Walker 188 starts to claim his first PGA TOUR title. Since then, he's had four wins in 32 starts, claiming two victories at Waialae to go along with wins at the Frys.com Open and the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
