KEDAH BEAT SARAWAK TO LIVE UP THE CHANCE

Kedah have lighten up their chances in competing for the quarter finals slot of Malaysia Cup competition after grabbing a crucial 2-1 victory against 9 men Sarawak at Darulaman Stadium last night. It was Sarawak who took an early lead in 19th minutes through S.Chanturu after receiving a pass from Ryan Griffith.

Both teams were down to 10 men after Shafizan Hashim of Kedah and Junior Eldstal of Sarawak was given a red carded in 40th minutes. Trailing by a goal, Kedah look more organized after restart and Billy Mehmet level up the score 10 minutes after the break with his powerful shot.

Sarawak were down to 9 men after Gabor Gypes was given a marching orders by the match officials due to his second bookable in 80th minutes. Khyril Muhymeen was introduced a minutes later to put more spark in Kedah attacking.

As the game look to end with a draw, Muhammad Syazwan Tajudin headed the ball into the net and give Kedah 3 important points to stay on course for the Malaysia Cup Journey.
