SOUTH KOREA BAG SECOND WIN OVER MALAYSIA IN ARC 2019

South Korea  showed their determination to win their first ever  Asia Rugby Championship  by beating  Malaysia  38-16 at the Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. It was quite a frustrating night for the Malaysian team as they fought hard to claim their first win in the Asia Top Division in front of the home fans. After beating Malaysia in the first match in Incheon last week, the Koreans displayed strong performance to claim full points before facing the defending champions,  Hong Kong . South Korea went ahead in the opening ten minutes with two tries by  Sungkun Cha  and  Daeyoung Yang . But then,  Mohd Fairuz Ab. Rahman  scored a penalty before a converted try by  Amirul Mukminin Amizan  levelled the score 10-10. SOUTH KOREA BEAT MALAYSIA IN ARC 2019 OPENER

South Korea kicked off their Asia Rugby Championship campaign with a 52-14 victory over Malaysia in Incheon. It is a perfect start for the home side as they scored eight tries to earn the bonus point. Malaysia stunned the crowd at the Namdong Asiad Stadium with an early try through Lawrence Petrus , before Mohd Fairuz Abdul Rahman delivered the conversion. However, South Korea bounced back with three tries by Jihoon You , Seong Min Jang and Myung Jun Lee . The Koreans went into the break with a comfortable 19-7 lead. DINESHWARAN KRISHNAN JOINS HINO RED DOLPHINS

Malaysia rugby star, Dineshwaran Krishnan or simply known as Duke has agreed to join  Hino Red Dolphins . The 30-year-old player will continue playing in Japan Top League after signing a three-year deal with the Tokyo-based club. He has been playing for Yamaha Jubilo for five seasons. Duke said in his facebook that he is happy join the Hino Red Dolphins. He is optimistic and looking forward to deliver his best at the new club. Malaysia Rugby President, Shahrul Zaman Yahya also expressed his confidence and wishes Duke for the best for the new season. Duke is expected to play alongside other top internationals such as Rene Ranger , Augustine Pulu (New Zealand), Nili Latu (Tonga) and Tsuyoshi Murata (Japan). KERIS CONLAY WIN 4TH MRL PREMIERSHIP

Keris Conlay confirmed their status as the best rugby 15's club in Malaysia by claiming their fourth Malaysia Rugby League (MRL) Premier Division title on Sunday. They defeated Mersing Eagles 27-19 in the final held at the UPM Rugby Field in Serdang. Keris Conlay reached their seventh MRL final after defeating Serdang Angels 24-10 in the last four. Mersing Eagles overcame UiTM Lions with a 28-12 win in the semifinals. Keris Conlay dominated the match from the start. They were 17-7 up at the half time and the players showed strong characters throughout the match. Mersing Eagles tried to stage a comeback after the break but Farid Syazwan 's players held on the pressure brilliantly before cruising to another victory. Conlay's star player, Fairuz Ab Rahman was also named man-of-the-match. Serdang Angels beat UiTM Lions 36-17 to bag the third place in the Premier Division . MERSING EAGLES FLY INTO MRL PREMIER FINAL

Mersing Eagles made it through to their first ever Malaysia Rugby League (MRL) Premier Division Final after defeating UiTM Lions 28-12 on Saturday. The Eagles dominated the semifinal clash at UPM Rugby Field to set-up an interesting final showdown against Keris Conlay next week. Mersing Eagles did not take too long to show their aspirations. Apoloisi Tuloma Tanoa scored the first try in the 4th minute and Wan Mohd Asyraf Norudin scored the conversion. UiTM Lions equalised four minutes later through Are Monoka and Mohamad Faris Pead . However, Apoloisi put the Eagles above again with another try in the 12th minute. The Fijian Winger completed his hattrick of tries three minutes before the break. Mersing Eagles continue to dominate in the second half. They went 20-7 up after Wan Mohd Asyraf scored a penalty in the 52nd minute. BLACKHAWK BEAT ATM JLJ TO REACH THE DIV ONE FINAL

RMAF Blackhawk were simply unstoppable as they claimed a place in the final after beating ATM JLJ in the last four. The Air Force team showed no sign of panic as they took control and sealed with a 47-33 win at Bellamy Rugby Field. Blackhawk did not take too long as they opened the scoring in 2nd minute of the match. Alekesio Vakarorogo 's try and conversion by Mohd Suhaimi Ismail set them on the runaway to final. The duo delivered another four converted tries in the first forty minutes. ATM JLJ could only get one try by Muhammad Nasyrin Nasir and a coversion by Muhammad Azuwar Hassan . Blackhawk took a comfortable 35-7 lead into the break. Muhammad Alif Al-Hafiz scored another early try for Blackhawk after just one minute into the second half. However, ATM JLJ were not throwing the towel yet. Two consecutive tries by Lailatul Norazlee Shaari and Muhammad Firdaus Mohd Ripin gave them a reason to keep on fighting. POLIS BERSATU STUN POLI MAS HORNETS IN SEMIFINALS

Polis Bersatu produced the biggest upset in Malaysia Rugby League (MRL) this season after eliminating Division One favourite, Poli Mas Hornets in the semifinals. They survived the thrilling encounter and powered to final with a deserving 23-20 victory. Poli Mas Hornets went ahead in the 11th minute after a successful penalty by Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad . Seven minutes later, Muhammad Aqra Sidek scored a try to give Polis Bersatu the lead. Muhammad Jackey Sudin stretch the advantage for the Police team with a try in the 25th minute. Serupepeli Turuva narrowed down the gap for the Hornets with a try in the 37th minute. Then Aporosa Mavo scored a penalty right before the break to give Polis Bersatu 13-5 lead at half time. Seven minutes after the match resumed, the Police went 16-8 up thanks to a successful penalty by Aporosa. Muhammad Halim Abu Kassim brought the Hornets back into the game with a try in the 54th minute. However, Polis Bersatu regained their confide
