KANDY SPORTS CLUB BEAT NAVY SC TO WIN CLIFFORD CUP AGAIN

Kandy Sports Club beat Navy Sports Club 21-7 to win their 21st Clifford Cup title since 1992. The club had earlier clinched their 19th Dialog League title after an amazing unbeaten run. It is also the last match for Sri Lanka's legend, Fazil Marija who will officially retire after today's match at the Longdon Place . Kandy started-off the final with a convincing performance. They stunned the Navy with an early try by Dahanushka Ranjan just two minutes after the kick-off. An impressive 30 metre run by Gayan Weeraratne helped Ranjan to score the opener. Navy struggled to compete against their opponent, but own mistakes denied their chances. Nigel Ratwatte increased the advantage to 8-0 with a penalty before the break. Navy SC came on in the second half with stronger approach. Mohamed Abzal broke into Kandy's try area two minutes after the match resumed to take his team back into contention. KEDAH EDGE PKNS IN SEVEN GOALS THRILLER

LIGA SUPER: PKNS FC 3 - KEDAH 4 Kedah collected three points from Shah Alam after a seven goals thriller against PKNS FC on Sunday. The Red Eagles recorded their second consecutive win in Liga Super this season after edging PKNP FC last week. PKNS started well against Kedah. Faris Ramli found the net in the 30th minute to give his team the lead. However, four minutes later, Kedah were awarded a penalty, and Liridon made no mistake for the equaliser. Mahali Jasuli put PKNS ahead again with a fine goal in the 46th minute. But Liridon's strike in the 57th minute levelled the score again. Then in the 67th minute, K.Reuben  accidentally slotted the ball into his own net from an attempt by Baddrol Bakhtiar . Muhammad Afif Farhan scored a wonderful goal in the added time to give Kedah a comfortable 4-2 advantage. EDWARDIAN TIGERS CLINCH PERAK RUGBY SUPER LEAGUE TITLE

Edwardian Tigers Rugby Club won the Perak Rugby Super League title after defeating last year's winner, RMR Warriors Rugby Club 36-17 in Ipoh. The Edwardians had a good start in the final as they pressured the defending champions from the start and took a convincing 19-5 advantage at half time.  Coached by Abd Latif Ismail , Edwardian Tigers reached the final after beating Ipoh Lions Rugby Club 34-24 on February 10th. RMR Warriors defeated JKR Perak in the last four to set-up a final showdown against the Edwardians. JKR Perak stunned Ipoh Lions Rugby Club 21-13 to claim the third place. Six best rugby teams in Perak competed in this season's Super League, which kicked-off on January 21st. The victory is Edwardian Tigers' first ever Super League title. tigerssupersports.com

KERIS CONLAY CLINCH FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE SEASON

Keris Conlay Rugby Club became the first winner of the Keris Conlay X Rugby Tournament after beating Awesome Rugby Club 31-17 in the final. The 2017 Malaysia Rugby Championship, Premier League and Elite 7's champions dominated from the first day of the tournament by winning all their matches.  After topping their group, Keris Conlay thrashed RER in the quarterfinals and defeated UPM Angels to reach the final. Awesome RC also had a good run in the tournament, they emerged as group champion, beat Perlis Rugby and UiTM Lions in the semifinals. MIAT Falcons claimed the Plate after defeating Koboys Rugby Club 19-0 in the final. Kelleys Rugby beat Cobra Development Team 10-0 to bag the Bowl. BUTTERCOOKIES WIN VETERAN, FR GANU CLINCH LADIES TITLE AT KERIS CONLAY X

Buttercookies Rugby Club  bagged the veteran category at the  Keris Conlay X Rugby Tournament as they defeated  SRT Colombo  from Sri Lanka, 12-5 in the final. The Buttercookies who lost their opening match to the same opponent, displayed a solid performance in the title deciding match. They scored two tries and a conversion to seal the title.  Storm RC  finished third.  Front Row Ganu (FRG) won the ladies category after beating UPM 20-0 in the final. The two teams finished on top of the group and qualified to the cup final. FRG were at their best as they won all their matches, and dominated title deciding match. Cobra Venom claimed the plate with a 20-0 win over UM Zombies . PAHANG SINK SELANGOR IN CHERAS

LIGA SUPER: SELANGOR 1 - PAHANG 3 Pahang stunned Selangor with a 3-1 away win at the Cheras Stadium . The home side struggled to find their game after losing their midweek match against Terengganu . Former Red Giants striker, Forkey Doe destroyed his former team with two goals in the second half. The Elephants started well and took an early lead with Patrick Cruz 's goal in the 6th minute. Selangor's top scorer, Rufina Segovia scored his fifth goal of the season to equalise in the 40th minute. Both teams were tied 1-1 at the break. Pahang came back stronger in the second half as Selangor missed many chances. Forkey Doe put the visitors into the driving seat again as he found the net five minutes after the match resumed. Selangor were desperate to find another equaliser but clumsy as the referee awarded Pahang a penalty. Forkey Doe calmly scored from the spot to give Pahang a comfortable 3-1 advantage. NEGERI SEMBILAN FALL AGAIN AS TERENGGANU WIN IN PAROI

LIGA SUPER: NEGERI SEMBILAN 1 - TERENGGANU FC 2 Terengganu FC snatched three points from Negeri Sembilan after beating the host 2-1 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi. The Turtles arrived in Paroi on Friday in confidence after an impressive win over Selangor in their previous Liga Super match. Ashari opened the scoring in the 13th minute to put Terengganu in front. Negeri Sembilan tried to find the equaliser but failed to find the net. The home side increased the pressure in the second half. Fakri Aiman finally put Negeri Sembilan back into the match with a goal in the 73rd minute. However, business was not over for Terengganu. Junhyeab Lee scored the winner just seven minutes before the final whistle to give his team the precious away win.
