ZARKO KORAC HITS A HATTRICK FOR KUANTAN FA

LIGA PREMIER: KUANTAN FA 4 - UKM FC 0 Zarko Korac turned hero for Kuantan FA after scoring a hattrick against UKM FC on Friday. Kuantan FA won the Liga Premier match 4-0 to collect three valuable points. Andrezinho gave the home side the lead just five minutes after the kick-off with a fine finish. UKM FC defended well enough to keep the score until the break. Zarko Korac doubled the advantage with a header six minutes after the match resumed. He added another two goals in the 76th and 86th minutes to give Kuantan a comfortable win. The victory lifted Kuantan FA to 6th place in the Liga Premier table.

OLLIE MELLORS DRIVES PROTON IRIZ TO VICTORY AT CAMBRIAN RALLY

Ollie Mellors and Max Freeman immediate chemistry powered a Proton Iriz R5 to victory at the Cambrian Rally . The pair beat the experienced Paul Bird and Jack Morton . Derbyshire's Mellor and his Welsh co-driver, Freeman had never met before. They were late entry but managed to overcome the race challenges and claim the title. Despite recording five fastest time, Matt Edwards and Darren Garrod ended the race empty handed after their Ford Fiesta R5 collided with a log. Another favourite, Luke Francis and John H Roberts also retired due to car problem two stages from the finish. The Cambrian Rally is the season opener for the BTRDA Rally Series. MELAKA UNITED CLAIM SECOND HOME WIN

LIGA SUPER: MELAKA UNITED 3 - NEGERI SEMBILAN 0 Melaka United claimed their second victory of the season after defeating Negeri Sembilan 3-0 at the Hang Jebat Stadium on Sunday. After losing to Selangor last week, the mouse-deer started-off offensively in search of early goal. They created many opportunities and found the net in the 31st minute after Yahor Zubovich beat Negeri Sembilan's goalkeeper, Saiful Amar Sudar . Zubovich doubled the lead with another goal eight minutes later to give Eduardo Almeida 's squad a comfortable lead at the break. Negeri Sembilan tried to fight back in the second half, but Melaka United were very organised on their home ground. R Gopinathan added their third goal of the night to kill-off Negeri Sembilan's chances for a come back. KEDAH BOUNCE BACK WITH WIN OVER PKNP

LIGA SUPER: PKNP FC 0 - KEDAH 1 Muhammad Akhyar Abdul Rashid turned hero for Kedah as they beat PKNP FC 1-0 in another Liga Super match at Stadium Negeri on Sunday. The winning goal came in the 85th minutes from a good combination by Andik Vermansyah and Pablo Pallares , which created the opportunity for Akhyar. The win can be a good turning point for the Red Eagles after a humiliating home loss to Perak last Wednesday. Ramon Marcote 's players showed an improved performance to control the game although playing away from home. PKNP FC gave Kedah a very hard time before going down to the only goal of the match.  Ramon expressed satisfaction with his team performance. Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand beat James Nitties of Australia 2&1 to win the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth on Sunday. The 28-year-old golfer recovered brilliantly from being 1-down after two holes to win three consecutive holes and beat his opponent in the grand finals of the A$1.75 million (approximately US$1.25 million) event. Kiradech progressed to Sunday after winning a tense, four-hole playoff over Australia's Anthony Quayle at the end of round three. After besting Ben Eccles of Australia 1-up in the first round, Kiradech beat 2017 Japan Golf Tour number one Yusaku Miyazato in a close match that stretched to the fifth Knockout Hole. He went on to defeat Sean Crocker of the United States 1-up in the quarter finals and Lucas Herbert of Australia in the semi-finals at the first Knockout Hole. IIUM MUSTANGS BREAK UPM ANGELS DOMINATION IN SUKIPT 7S

IIUM Mustangs  or  International Islamic University Malaysia , placed themselves into the Malaysian Inter-Varsity rugby history as they won the gold at  SUKIPT Rugby 7s  on Friday. The glory came after a very dramatic finale where they stunned the tournament favourite, UPM Angels 19-17. It was a moment of brilliance for the Mustangs as they stormed into the final after defeating UTP Drillers in the last four. UPM Angels,  Universiti Putra Malaysia  are well known for their dominance in rugby among the Higher Education Institutions (IPT) in Malaysia. They are the centre for the national sports excellence program in rugby since 2010. However, the IIUM Mustangs achievements showed how determinations and hardwork can overcome any superpowers in rugby. UPM Angels have all the advantage to win the decisive match. LIGA SUPER: SELANGOR 4 - MELAKA UTD 1 Selangor continued their good run in Liga Super 2018 as they recorded their second consecutive win at the Cheras Stadium on Wednesday. The Red Giants beat Melaka United 4-1 to stay on top of the table with goal difference. Despite their home ground problems before the season starts, Selangor have been performing very good at the newly refurbished Cheras Stadium. Selangor opened the scoring through Rufino Segovia in the 7th minute. Evan Dimas showed good understandings as he combined well with Rufino.
