Inbee Park saved her best round of the year, 8-under-par 64 for Sunday at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Presented by Banamex to secure her 17th LPGA title and fifth this season. Park needed the splendid Sunday, too, with Carlota Ciganda hard charging up from behind with a career-low 9-under-par 63, the best round of the tournament. But when Ciganda got to six-under for the day through seven holes to tie Park, the world No. 2 responded with a beautiful five birdie, zero bogeys 5-under-par 31 on the back to edge Ciganda out by three at 18-under-par for the tournament. For Park, the win is not only a victory at a tournament that had previously eluded her with three top-fours in the three years prior. It also made the season finale next week - the CME Group Tour Championship - a lot more interesting as Park's 18-under-par 270 has pushed her ahead of Lydia Ko in the Vare Trophy standings by just 0.0161 shots per round. ​ NICC: KOBOYS 3 - PANTHERS BLOWPIPES 38 Panthers Blowpipes joined the best eight of the National Inter Club Championship rugby tournament (NICC) after beating KoBoys in their last group match on Sunday. The Panthers showed no mercy towards their opponent on the wet and muddy Universiti Malaya rugby field by claiming a huge win. The match was stopped for a while early in the match due to heavy rain and lightnings. The Panthers took broke the deadlock after 15 minutes with a try by Samuela Tamanisu . Lowane Sovatabua Taukeijalili doubled the score after the half hour mark, and Izwan Mohamad kicked it through for the conversion. Another two tries by Muhammad Zarrul Aizat Zaaba & Samuela made the game look easy for the Panthers. ​ NICC: RMAF BLACKHAWKS 18 - SILVER GAURUS 17 RMAF Blackhawks marched into the quarter final of 2015 NICC rugby tournament after edging Silver Gaurus with 18-17 score at Bellamy field on Sunday. Comfort in beating Bangi Hunters in the first match earlier this month, Blackhawk face a tough challenge in this match. Blackhawk hit first with a penalty in 18th minutes. However NICC new comers, Silver Gaurus put up an outstanding performance to lead the game with 10-03 in the first half from two tries.  The game was stopped for about 10 minutes due to heavy downpours. Second half resumed with Silver Gaurus stretching the lead with another try followed by a conversion in 48th minutes. Danthai Boonma's cautious and patient strategy proved to be the winning formula when he emerged triumphant after carding a final two-under-par 69 at the inaugural World Classic Championship at Laguna National on Sunday. The young Thai was one of only two players to have broken par after four days of punishing and tense battle with the region's heavyweights at the US$750,000 Asian Tour event. Danthai's winning total of two-under-par 282 was enough to give him a slender one-shot victory over Malaysia's Nicholas Fung, who was the other player to end the week with a red number. Korea's Jeunghun Wang signed off with a 69 to finish in third place ahead of Australia's Sam Brazel who secured fourth place with his 285 total. NICC: NS WANDERERS 19 - KL TIGERS 5 NS Wanderers put up a good performance to take them into the next stage of the National Inter Club Championship (NICC). The Negeri Sembilan side beat KL Tigers 19-5 in Mantin and are looking good to progress further in the championship. The Wanderers opened the scoring in the third minute with a penalty taken by Ammil Aizat Jasmi . KL Tigers did not give up easily as they managed stop the home side from collecting more points in the first half. The Tigers went ahead with a try in the 23rd minute. However, The Wanderers took the lead again in the 38th minute through a penalty by Ammil Aizat. ​Taking a slim 6-5 lead into the break, NS wanderers came back stronger in the second half. ​ NICC: IIUM MUSTANGS 15 - ISKANDAR RAIDERS 27 Iskandar Raiders defeated IIUM Mustangs 27-15 in National Inter Club Championship (NICC) third match at the Sayyidina Hamzah Stadium , Gombak on Saturday. The southern club lead 15-10 in the first half before adding making another two tries after the break. The Mustangs gave their visitors some tough times but the kickers could not deliver the points they needed. Iskandar Raiders took the lead just after three minutes with a try by M. Syukri Seh Dom . Bulu Iliesa Biutuviti Biodole made another try in the 6th minute to stretched their lead, and M.Syukri scored the conversion to give the visitors a strong 12 points advantage. Chiragh Kumar of India claimed a popular victory at the Panasonic Open India after shooting a two-under-par 70 to clinch his first Asian Tour title by three shots on Sunday.   The 31-year-old prevailed against Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh following an intense battle to claim the winner's cheque of US$72,000 with a winning total of 13-under-par 275 at the Delhi Golf Club .   Siddikur suffered a reoccurring lower back injury on the second hole and had to battle through the pain barrier before settling for his second runner-up finish in the event.
