PERAK BEAT PENANG AT BATU KAWAN

LIGA SUPER: PULAU PINANG 0 - PERAK 1

After a frustrating draw with Pahang in the opening match, Perak traveled to Pulau Pinang for their second Liga Super match. The Bos Gaurus struggled to break the Penang defence, despite controlling the game most of the time. Vladislav Mirchev had several good opportunities but failed to beat Penang goalkeeper, Syed Adney Syed Hussein.

Penang's coach Ashley Westwood sent off in the 61st minute. Defender Shahrol Saad turned hero for Perak when he came off the bench to net the winner in the 68th minute. His stiff shot from a Zaquan Adha cross in the 68th minute was enough to give Perak a valuable 1-0 away win. The score remained until the final whistle, and it was a second straight defeat for Pulau Pinang.
