SABAH LIFT THE PRESTIGIOUS AGONG'S CUP AGAIN

Sabah edged Kelantan 47-45 in the final to win their fifth Agong's Cup . It was a very dramatic finale at the UPNM Stadium as Kelantan's went all out to end their their six-year title drought. But Sabah were also determined to win, and they were better than the last edition . With former All Black player Charles Luke McAlister , vice-captain Nathanael Tan and fly half substitute Fijian Serupepeli Naqasima in the line-up, Sabah got no reason to fail this time. They opened the scoring inside the first minute with a try by Mohamad Safwan Abdullah . However Kelantan bounced back and scored three tries through Mohamad Ikwan Akmal , Zulkiflee Azmi and Wan Azley Wan Omar . The East Coast team took a 24-20 halftime lead. VIETNAM BREAK MALAYSIA'S HEART TO WIN SECOND AFF CUP

Vietnam ended their ten years wait to win the AFF Suzuki Cup after beating Malaysia 1-0 in the tournament’s final second-leg at  My Dinh Stadium . After the 2-2 draw in the first leg at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam carried two away goals advantage for the final 90 minutes in Hanoi. Nguyen Anh Duc turned hero for the home side as he scored the only goal in the sixth minute after receiving a cross from midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai. Malaysia pressed for an equaliser but the score remained until the final whistle. Vietnam survived the thrilling encounter with a deserving 1-0 victory. They are officially the champions of AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, beating Malaysia 3-2 on aggregate after the two legs. DAVETA RUGBY CLUB RETAIN COBRA 10'S CROWN

Daveta Rugby Club successfully retained the Cobra 10's title at the MBPJ Stadium, Malaysia on Sunday. The Cup Final match against New Zealand's Global Barbarians was stopped due to lightning storm, and The Fijians were declared as the winner based on points accumulated in the group stage. Daveta topped Group A with 140 points while Global Barbarians had 59 points in Group D. Daveta hammered Varsity Vipers 54-5 in the last four to reach the final, while Global Barbarians beat Canberra Barbarians 12-7 to challenge for the title. A total of 15 teams from Malaysia, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and South Africa took part in the 48th edition of the Cobra 10's.  SA Tigers of South Africa claimed the Plate title after defeating Projecx Waterboys from Scotland 14-10. UNBEATEN MALAYSIA WIN ASIA RUGBY U18 BOYS SEVENS

Malaysia displayed a stunning performance to win the Asia Rugby Under-18 Boys 7's at the EduCity Stadium , Malaysia. The victory proved that they are one of the best in the region when it comes to age group competitions. The Malaysian boys kicked-start the first day of the tournament with three comfortable wins over Hong Kong (31-5), South Korea (47-5) and Laos (53-0). On the second day, they recorded another three wins against Qatar (34-0), Uzbekistan (40-0), and the strongest opponent, China (19-17). Malaysia completed their round-robin format with 100 percent record and collected 18 points. The boys scored 224 and conceded just 27 in six matches. China and Hong Kong collected 15 points each. MALAYSIA STUN THAILAND TO TAKE AFF CUP FINAL SPOT

Malaysia pulled a surprise in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Cup by holding Thailand to a 2-2 draw at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. The Harimau Malaya fought back to win with away goals after being held 0-0 in the first leg at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's goals were scored by Syahmi Safari and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha while Thailand's goals came from Irfan Zakaria 's own goal and Pansa Hemviboon . The home side could have won the match after Syahmi gave away a penalty in the third minute of injury time, but Adisak Kraisorn skied his penalty. That miss was a great relief for Tan Cheng Hoe 's side and as they held on to the result to qualify for the final. Malaysia will face either Vietnam or the Philippines in a two-legged final on December 11 and 15. Malaysia last qualified for the final in 2014 but lost to Thailand via a 4-3 aggregate in a two-legged final.

MALAYSIA CRUISE INTO AFF CUP SEMIFINALS

Malaysia sealed their place in the Asean Football Federation Championship semifinals after a 3-0 win over Myanmar . The victory ensures the Harimau Malaya to join the tournament's last four alongside favourites Vietnam . Vietnam finished top of group A thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win over already-eliminated Cambodia while a brace from Zaquan Adha following Nohshahrul Idlan Talaha 's opener earned the Malaysians second place as a result of an impressive performance against Myanmar. Myanmar needed only a draw to progress but, in front of a vociferous crowd at Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Jalil Stadium, the home side made most of the early running and it came as little surprise when Nohshahrul put Malaysia in front. Two minutes into first-half injury time Safawi Rasid was brought down inside the penalty area by Soe Moe Kyaw after latching on to Sumareh 's through ball and Zaquan scored the resulting penalty. GOOD START FOR MALAYSIA IN AFF SUZUKI CUP

Malaysia get off to a winning start in the AFF Suzuki Cup when they beat Cambodia 1-0 at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh today. Norshahrul Idlan Talaha turned out as hero for the Harimau Malaya with the solitary goal in the 30th minute. Malaysia who had beaten Cambodia 3-2 in the previous AFF Cup meeting, ranked 169 in the world while Cambodia are at 170. The visitors had a difficult time in the first ten minutes, but settled down as the match progressed. With five attacking players in Tan Cheng Hoe 's line-up, Malaysia were determined to get a win in Cambodia. Norshahrul finally found the net on the half-hour mark to put Malaysia in front. Cambodia came back stronger after the break. They increased the tempo in search for an equaliser. But Malaysia defended solidly to keep the score until the final whistle.
