PERAK ON RIGHT TRACK FOR MALAYSIA CUP FINAL

Perak  are on the verge of reaching the  Malaysia Cup  final after hammering  Sabah  5-0 in the first leg semifinals clash at the Perak Football Stadium. The  Bos Gaurus  dominated the match in front of 20,000 home supporters who braved the rain to watch the game.  Perak to open the account in the 16th minute after  Nor Hakim Hassan  scored from a brilliant pass by  Firdaus Saiyadi . Three minutes before the break,  Wander Luiz  doubled the lead for Perak after a beautiful interchange of passes with Nor Hakim. Gilmar  finally got his name in the score sheet in the 73rd minute after his brilliant turn and shot in the penalty box resulted in a goal. Two minutes later, Firdaus headed into the net to extend the lead.  Perak got their fifth goal through  Leandro  spot kick to give the Bos Gaurus a comfortable advantage before flying-off to Kota Kinabalu for the return leg. NEGERI SEMBILAN BEAT PDRM IN AGONG'S CUP OPENER

Negeri Sembilan started-off their 2018 Agong's Cup campaign with a convincing victory over PDRM . The three times champions beat PDRM 29-12 at the Pulapol Rugby Field on Saturday. Negeri Sembilan went ahead in the 22nd minute through a penalty kick by Anwarrul Hafiz Ahmad . PDRM played well but they just could not break the visitors. The 3-0 score remained until the break. Negeri Sembilan were quick to increase the lead after the match resumed. Two converted tries by Anwarrul and Mohd Amir Shafiq Maddiah took their lead to 17-0. PDRM bounced back with tries by Wan Faizal Zulkefli and Lasaro Tugadrau . However, Negeri Sembilan got two more tries from Anwarrul and Muhammad Fauzi Ismail to take them away from Pulapol with a strong result.

EAGLES RUGBY CLUB RETAIN LABUAN 10'S TITLE

Eagles Rugby Club won the Labuan 10's rugby title for the second consecutive year after defeating Sabah OSCA Warriors 29-0 in the Mens Cup Final. The Eagles had a good run in the preliminary round on Saturday, and continued their fine performance in the knock-out stage on Sunday. OSCA Warriors reached the final after a consistant display throughout the tournament. Baram Rhinos and KK Sharks shared the second runners-up place after losing their semifinal matches against the two finalists. In the Boys Under-17 category, SMK Taman Fajar edged Barracuda   7-5 in the Cup Final. The final was a very exciting match as both sides showed strong determination to clinch the title. At the end, it was the conversion kick that make the difference for SMK Taman Fajar to emerge champions. SMK Tungku and SM La Salle finished joint third. The 18th edition of the Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival had attracted 46 teams from Brunei, Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsula Malaysia. 26 top match

SABAH ANGELS, PANAGA CROCS WIN AT LABUAN 10'S RUGBY CARNIVAL

Sabah Angels Warriors  defeated  KK Sharks  19-0 in the final to claim the Womens title at the  Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival . The Angels displayed an outstanding performance to secure the Womens Category.  Victorian Queens  beat Brunei's  Panaga Phyhons  15-7 to claim the Plate, and  ERC Womens  hammered  UMS Islanders  for the Bowl. Panaga Crocs  beat  Tawau Oldboys  17-7 in the cup final to win the Labuan 10’s Veterans’ title. In the Plate final,  OSCA Legends  edged  Brunei Bastidos  14-10.  KRFC Blackcatz Legends  defeated  Sandakan Oldboys  21-5 to clinch the Bowls title. SRU Academy  clinched the Girls Under-17 title after beating  Labuan Development  24-14 in the final. And  SMSM Angels  hammered  SMK Tungku  33-0 to take home the Plate title. SINGAPORE CRICKET CLUB CLINCH THE NS ROYAL SEVENS TITLE

Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) won the 2018 NS Royal Sevens after defeating NS Wanderers 14-7 in the cup final. After finishing second at the same tournament last year, the Singapore based club showed huge improvement to capture the title in Seremban, Malaysia. NS Wanderers took their spot in the final after beating Cobra RC 35-0 in the semis, while SCC marched in after 17-5 win over Awesome RC . 16 top clubs from Singapore and Malaysia took part in the 20th edition of the NS Royal Sevens. In the Under-16 category final, Hulu Selangor Science School (Semashur) beat Tuanku Jaafar Science School (STJ) 12-0 to clinch the title. Semashur beat King George V School (KGV) in the semifinals,  and STJ edged SYP to reach the final.

PERAK EDGE KEDAH TO CLAIM SUKMA GOLD

Perak  bagged their third consecutive  SUKMA  football gold medal after defeating  Kedah  2-1 in the finals at the Perak Football Stadium. The  Bos Gaurus  had won the gold medals in football for the past two SUKMA editions since 2014. Kedah showed strong determination in front of 15,000 Perak supporters. After a goalless first half, Kedah finally found the net in the 64th minute through  Fadzrul Danel 's stunning free kick. Just three minutes later,  Muhammad Alif Safwan  equalised for Perak with a brilliant header. The hosts were back in business after the goal.  Muhammad Asyraaf Mat Pushni  scored the winner in the 71st minute and Perak cruised to victory. In the third place match at Stadium Majlis Perbandaran Manjung,  Sabah  edged  Terengganu  2-1 to win the SUKMA bronze medal. TIGERS SUPER SPORTS

SANGHYUN PARK WINS THE 34TH SHINHAN DONGHAE OPEN

Sanghyun Park of Korea stamped his authority as he shot a magnificent eight-under-par 63 to claim a wire-to-wire victory at the KR₩1,200,000,000 (approximately US$1,000,000) 34th Shinhan Donghae Open on Sunday. The 35-year-old won his second Asian Tour title following his dominant five-shot triumph at the Bear’s Best Cheongna Golf Club in Incheon, Korea. Park started the final round with a slim one-shot lead, but he pulled away from the rest of the field after scoring six birdies on his front nine. Even with a five-shot lead at the turn, Park continued to dictate proceedings as he marked another two birdies on his scorecard before signing for 22-under-par 262 total. The Korean set a new tournament record for the lowest winning gross score. Jiman Kang and Gaganjeet Bhullar , champions in 2006 and 2016 respectively, jointly held the previous record of 269.
