CHINESE TAIPEI FINISH THIRD AT ASIA RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP DII

Chinese Taipei beat India 37-19 to claim a third place finish in the Asia Rugby Championship Division II. India gave a good fight before going down to the tournament host at the Taipei Municipal Stadium . India stunned the local crowd with a good first half performance. Prince Khatri and M ohit Khatri tries gave India a good 14-10 advantage after 30 minutes into the game. However, Chinese Taipei bounced back right before the break through a try by Huang to take a 17-14 half time lead. The host finally took complete control after the match resumed. Three tries by Chen , Sun and Shen pulled Chinese Taipei away from India's reach. The exhausted Indians could not stop the fast and fitter Chinese Taipei players. MARC MARQUEZ CLAIMS FOURTH MOTOGP TITLE

Marc Marquez finished third at the season-ending Valencia race to claim his fourth MotoGP title in five years. The 24-year-old Honda rider, who beaten Andrea Dovizioso for the crown, is the youngest rider to win four titles in the class. Dovizioso and his Ducati team-mate Jorge Lorenzo crashed out in separate incidents during the crucial race. Dani Pedrosa powered his Honda to win the race, with Yamaha rookie Johann Zarco in second. Marquez started the race from pole position and led after the start before being passed by Zarco on lap three. He remained behind the Frenchman until the latter stages before suffering a scare when Marquez passed Zarco to re-take the lead only to go off the track at turn one on lap 23. Asian Tour rookie Micah Lauren Shin of the United States overcame an early two-shot penalty incurred at the opening hole and defeated Thailand's Arnond Vongvanij at the first play-off hole to win the Resorts World Manila Masters on Sunday. Shin was set back by two shots after having discovered he had 15 clubs in his bag. But that mistake along with another bogey on the third hole only spurred the 20-year-old to force his way back into contention.  Shin reignited his charge starting with a birdie on the fourth hole before firing three successive birdies starting from seven. Daveta Rugby Club clinched the Cobra 10's title for the second time with ease at the MBPJ Stadium, in Kelana Jaya. The Fijian side cruised to a 26-10 victory in the final to deny defending champions, Borneo Eagles from claiming their fourth Cobra 10's title. Luke Nadurutalo , Rusiate Tawalo , Joseva Kuricuva and Leveni Tani scored four tries, and three successful conversions by Timoci Tavuto and Lemeke Tulele . Daveta reached the final after beating Singapore Barbarians 26-0 in the quarterfinals, and North Harbour of New Zealand 14-5 in the last four. They bagged USD10,000 (MYR41,925) for the victory. JOHN CATLIN CLOSES IN STYLE AT THE PGM EURASIA PERAK CHAMPIONSHIP

American John Catlin carded a five-under-par 67 to secure his first wire-to-wire victory and second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title, following the final round of the PGM EurAsia Perak Championship on Saturday. The 26-year-old Catlin, who won his maiden ADT title in 2016, traded seven birdies for two bogeys for a winning total of 16-under-par 272 and a seven-stroke triumph over Australian Martin Dive (279) at the RM200,000(approx.US$44,600) ADT event. Catlin started the round in slow fashion and lost his one stroke lead when he three-putted his first hole and made bogey. He soon found his momentum with two birdies on holes four and five before dropping a shot on the sixth to turn in 36. From then on, he nailed four more birdies on his way home and sealed the deal with a birdie on hole 18. Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) beat SBPI Gombak (Integomb) 15-3 in the cup final to win the Under-16 Category at the Super KGV 10's International Rugby Tournament . SSTMI were in the final after defeating SBPI Kubang Pasu 21-0 in the semifinals, while Integomb got through with a 12-7 victory over the tournament host, King George V (KGV).  Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah (SAS) bagged the Under-15 title after winning the cup final 14-0 over Sekolah Sains Tuanku Jaafar (STJ). India's Shiv Kapur completed his lifelong dream of winning at the Delhi Golf Club when he won the Panasonic Open India with a final round four-under-par 68 on Sunday. While Kapur's two previous Asian Tour titles were won in Thailand and Chinese Taipei, the Panasonic Open India title was Kapur's first professional victory at the Delhi Golf Club, which is also his home course. The title race was evenly poised at the turn with only a single shot separating the leaders at the top of the leaderboard.
