KELANTAN HOLDS SIME DARBY IN FA CUP FIRST LEG

​FA CUP: SIME DARBY 1 - KELANTAN 1 Sime Darby failed to record a good result in the FA Cup quarter final first leg match as they were held by Kelantan 1-1 at the Selayang Stadium. Playing on their home ground, Sime Darby struggled to find the goals they need before playing the second leg in Kota Bharu on 21st April. Kelantan enjoyed a good away match as they were backed by about 5000 supporters.   ​ ​The Red Warriors took the lead in the 44th minute when Erwin Carillo beat goalkeeper Suffian Ab Rahman . However, the excitement lasted for just two minutes before the home side equalised in the injury time. Nemanja Vidakovic header beat Khairul Fahmi Che Mat before the half time break. ​Sime Darby returned for the second half in a more organized approach. But Kelantan played a solid defense to hold the score until the final whistle. The new team manager, Azraai Khor got the job done for Kelantan to escape from Selayang with a draw and an away goal. SAFIQ RAHIM HELPS JOHOR DT TO BEAT ATM

​​LIGA SUPER: JDT 2 - ATM 1 Johor DT took full advantage of playing in front of their home fans by beating struggling ATM 2-1 in Larkin on saturday. The home side displayed a good performance with new signings Patricio "Patito" Rodriguez and Alhaji Kamara making debuts. ​The Gladiators stunned the host with an opening goal in the 23rd minute. Jerry Nelson Palacious diverted an attempt by former JDT star Norshahrul Idlan Talaha . The goal could not kill the spirit of the Southern Tigers . Bojan Hoda k boys were quick to react and grabbed the equalizer through Mohd Amri Yahya  nine minutes later. ​JDT started to take control, they launched series of attacks into the visitors area but ATM held on. However, their efforts were paid-off in the 58th minute when Patito sent a perfect pass to Safiq Rahim . The national captain brilliantly curled the ball to beat ATM's goal keeper. PERAK ENDS FELDA'S UNBEATEN RUN

​​LIGA SUPER: FELDA UNITED 2 - PERAK 4 A hattrick by Chad Souza ended Felda United 's unbeaten run in the Super League. Perak proved to be a title contender as the victory lifted them to the second place, just one point behind PDRM. The Bos Gaurus traveled to Selayang Stadium as underdogs, knowing that it is the home ground of the league leader. Chad Souza boosted Perak confidence as he found the net in the 5th minute. ​Felda United struggled to find the right rhythm to take control over the stubborn visitors. The Fighters finally got the equalizer two minutes after the break through Edward Wilson Jr . ​M. Karathu had a better idea against Irfan Bakti 's boys. Perak players did not breakdown and were very discipline. Chad Souza put them in front again in the 50th minute. PENANG PUNISHED JDTII IN INJURY TIME

​​​LIGA PERDANA: PENANG 2 - JDTII 1 Penang showed their true potential at the Bandaraya Stadium on Friday by beating JDTII 2-1. The Panthers did not give up after trying hard for 90 minutes after the visitors took an early lead. Mohd Zaquan Adha gave JDTII the lead just two minutes after the kick-off. The home side fought hard through out the match to maintain their unbeaten record. ​They finally got an equalizer four minutes into the injury time through Alberto Concalves . Hilton Moreira found the net again for Penang just a minute later to give Penang a home win and extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League. The victory sent the Panthers to the top of the table. TEXAS OPEN: JIMMY WALKER CLAIMS SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON

​Jimmy Walker won his hometown event Sunday to become the first two-time winner this season on the PGA Tour , beating Jordan Spieth by four shots. With a two-under-par 70, Walker won the Texas Open in San Antonio to become the first two-time winner this season on the PGA Tour, beating Jordan Spieth by four strokes, who also closed with a 70.   He made birdie putts of 15 feet at No. 16 and 17 feet at the 17th in a 2-under 70 that left him at 11-under 277 at the TPC San Antonio. Spieth tried his best by making four consecutive birdies before a closing par with the tournament all but finished.   The victory is Walker's second win of the year after a successful title defense at the Sony Open in Hawaii. ROSSI SCORES STUNNING VICTORY IN MOTOGP OPENER

MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi claim his 109th Grand Prix victory and grabs the 2015 opening race victory with a thrilling finish at Losail International Circuit , in Qatar on Sunday. The Italian who started the race on the third row powered his machine to overtake Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso before claimed the victory. Trailed in second place was Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati Team with just 0.174sec behind and his teammates Andrea Iannone was in third with 2.25sec adrift. YOUNG SAMURAIS BEAT VIETNAM IN AFC QUALIFIERS

​AFC U-23 QUALIFIERS: JAPAN 2 - VIETNAM 0   Shoya Nakajima scored a double as Japan beat Vietnam 2-0 in their second AFC U-23 Championship 2016 qualifying match at the Shah Alam Stadium on Sunday. Japan proved their status as favourite for the championships from the start of the Group I second round match, giving Vietnam no space from the kick-off. ​The samurais launched continuous attacks while Vietnam struggled to stop the threat, and 22-year-old Nakajima opened the score in the 43rd minute. Nakajima and teammate Takumi Minamino combined to slot the ball past Vietnamese goalkeeper Phi Minh Long . Huynh Tan Tan of Vietnam nearly equalised just one minute later in a rare opportunity, but his shot went wide. ​After the break, things looked better for coach Toshiya Miura side as they limited Japan's attacks.
