They bounced back with five consecutive wins, showcasing grit, passion, and a playing style that not only delivered results but also won hearts. Last season’s runners-up returned stronger and more determined, becoming fan favourites with their entertaining, high-energy rugby that consistently drew crowds. Cobra Venom etched their name in history as the first-ever champions of the Selangor Women Rugby League , completing a flawless campaign in the five-team competition. Winning all their matches, the Petaling Jaya-based club proved their dominance through teamwork, discipline, and sheer determination. A total of 34 players represented Cobra Venom this season, all molded through twice-weekly training sessions since April under the leadership of Head Coach Mohd Faiz . Leading the charge was captain and standoff Rozliana Ridwan , whose sharp decision-making and accurate conversions were vital. Outside centre Nur Izzah Azizan impressed with explosive pace and defensive grit, while Wan Noor Shafiqa , the pack leader and top try scorer, delivered powerful runs and solid defense. The final, held at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam, showcased not only the talent of the players but also the strategic brilliance of the coaching staff. The match began with both teams demonstrating their prowess, resulting in a closely contested first half. PDRM held a slim lead of 19-17 as they headed into the break, setting the stage for an intense second half. However, it was the Police who came out with renewed vigor, displaying an impressive attacking strategy that overwhelmed their opponents. The  Kuching Rugby Football Club  (KRFC) Blackcatz emerged victorious in the highly anticipated  Song Kheng Hai Sevens  rugby tournament, claiming the title after a decisive 26-12 victory over  Asajaya RC  in the Cup Final. The match, held at the Song Kheng Hai ground, showcased the skill and determination of both teams, but the  Blackcatz  proved to be the dominant force throughout the competition. The road to the finals saw KRFC demonstrate their prowess, having secured a commanding 25-0 win against  Mukah Rugby  in the semifinals. South Africa won the Castle Lager Rugby Championship for the first time in five years. The Springboks beat Argentina at Nelspruit in commanding fashion on Saturday with a 48-7 victory. They were leading 27-7 at the break of a pulsating match. The win was never in doubt for the Springboks. Eben Etzebeth celebrates a new Test record with 128th caps. South Africa had a sublime start in front of a 43578 sold-out crowd in Mbombela Stadium. They broke The Pumas defence in the opening minutes. Two early tries boosted their confidence in the match. Argentina responded with a try by Tomas Albornoz to keep their hope alive. However, South Africa were at their best and wrapped up the match with six more tries.
