France  won their first gold medal at the 2024  Paris Olympic Games  in the most incredible style. In the men's rugby sevens final, they defeated the two-time Olympic winners,  Fiji , 28–7. Fiji won gold in 2016, and did it again in 2020 and were unbeaten in 17 games of Olympic competition. Antoine Dupont  was simply inspirational as France claimed their first Olympics gold medal in rugby at the Stade de France. The Olympic gold medal is the latest addition to his Six Nations title with France 15s, two European Rugby Champions Cups, and four Top 14 victories with club Toulouse. The 27-year-old is now widely regarded as one of the country’s best ever athletes. South Africa  bagged the men's rugby sevens bronze after some late scare.   Argentina  won a record 16th  Copa America  title by beating  Colombia  1-0 thanks to an extra-time goal from  Lautaro Martinez .  La Albiceleste 's latest title comes on the back of their triumphs at the 2022  World Cup  and 2021 Copa America. The victory gives eight-times  Ballon d'Or  winner  Lionel Messi  the perfect sendoff in what is likely his last international tournament. The win, which saw Argentina move ahead of  Uruguay  after the pair had been tied on 15 Copa titles, marked  Angel di Maria 's final international match. Martinez, who came off the bench in extra time, latched onto a precise through ball from  Giovani Lo Celso  before lifting his effort over advancing Colombia goalkeeper  Camilo Vargas  in the 112th minute to spark wild celebrations at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida. Spain  are crowned  Euro 2024  winners after a pulsating 2-1 victory over  England  at Olympiastadion in Berlin. This marks an unprecedented fourth European championship for  La Roja , and they were undoubtedly the best team in the tournament. Spain displayed beautiful­passing, outstanding wing play and ruthless finishing to clinch the biggest footbal prize in Europe. Spain broke the deadlock in the 47th minute through  Nico Williams  first time finishing.  Cole Palmer  equalised for the  Three Lions  in the 73rd minute.  Mikel Oyarzabal 's goal four minutes from time sealed the victory for La Roja. Bank Muamalat Bullets  edged  KL Tigers  14-12 in the cup final to win the  Dimbulla Phuket International Rugby 11's . It was an all-Malaysian final at Thanyapura Phuket Sports and Health Resort, where both sides played in a very thrilling match. KL Tigers reached the final after defeating the  Bangkok Bangers  of Thailand 7-0 in the semi-final. Muamalat Bullets beat Vietnam's  Hanoi Dragons  7-0 in the last four to set up the nail-biting clash against the Tigers. It is another achievement for Muamalat. After winning a number of tournaments in Malaysia and Indonesia, the Bullets showed the same class in Phuket. Team Manager,  Megat Faisal  and Head Coach,  Mazuri Salehudin  have been working tirelessly to build the Bank Muamalat rugby team. And their hardworks had started to show signs of success. Argentina bagged their third World Cup victory in the most exciting final of the 92-year history of the competition. After a 3-3 draw that featured two goals from Lionel Messi and a hat trick from Kylian Mbappé, La Albiceleste defeated France 4-2 on penalties. From the start of the final, Messi was in spectacular form. He gave Argentina the lead from the penalty spot after Angel Di Maria was fouled. Then he initiated to a smooth team move that ended in Di Maria doubled the lead in the 36th minute. Argentina controlled the first period and led 2-0 at the interval. Mbappé, on the other hand, remained unnoticed until he scored two goals in a span of 97 seconds. After a missing for two years due to Covid-19 pandemic, the  Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival  is finally back. The  Labuan Rugby Association  have announced that the tournament will be held on 7th-9th October Padang Perbadanan Labuan. It will an exciting week to witness rugby returns to this gorgeous island. This year's event will be the 20th edition of the Biggest Rugby Carnival in Borneo. 12 clubs, 5 veteran teams and 8 Under-17 teams had confirmed their participation at the tournament this year.  KK Sharks ,  OSCA Warriors  and home favourite  Victoria RC  will be fighting for the title this October. The tournament has a long history and had attracted many top clubs from all over the country to participate. Many national players and legends had also played here. Due to the growing popularity, Labuan Rugby Carnival had become a major event of the island. It has brought in thousands of visitors and boosted the local tourism industry. Tigers Super Sports

Edwardian Tigers  roared at the Esplanade Field as they won  Edwardian 10's Rugby Tournament . The Tigers beat  Blues Barbarians  21-0 in the open category final to lift the prestigious  Ooi Huat Beng Cup . It was almost a one sided final as the Barbarians could not break the solid Edwardians line-up. Powered by some great local players like  Fairuz Rahman ,  Amirul Mukminin  and  Badrul Muktee , the hosting team dominated the tournament. Fiji star  Adriu Naivuwai Naiyaga  was named the player of the tournament after showing incredible performance in the last two days in Taiping. RMP Blues  claimed the third place after defeating  ASAS RC  12-5 in the decider.  Koba RC  edged  Serdang Angels  14-12 in another final to clinch the Plate.  Kuala Lumpur RC  bagged the Bowl after a 26-5 victory over  Aqwa RC .
