JAZZ CAPS REMARKABLE 2019 BY WINNING THAILAND MASTERS

Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond signed off from his 2019 Asian Tour season just like the way he started when he cruised to a commanding five-shot victory at the Thailand Masters on Sunday. It has been a stunning year for the 24-year-old as he triumphed again for the second time in two weeks after closing with a six-under-par 65 at the Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club.  Jazz got off to a flying start when he won the Asian Tour’s season-opener in Singapore in January. 12 months later, he would end the year by capturing his sixth Asian Tour title and fourth this season on home soil. Jazz’s winning total of 23-under-par 261 at a venue which he won before too meant he will break into the top-40 on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), a target he had set out to achieve at the start of the week. DOUBLE VICTORIES FOR NEW ZEALAND AT CAPE TOWN SEVENS

New Zealand clinched the double at the Cape Town Sevens by winning both the women's and men's titles. The Black Ferns beat Australia 17-7 to win the women's title and secured a second consecutive victory in the World Sevens Series new season. The men's team came from behind to edge host nation South Africa 7-5 in the final. BONZER SIGNS FOR RUGBY-BUNDESLIGA TV PFORZHEIM

Mohamad Amin Jamaluddin , or simply known as Bonzer will be playing in Germany next season. The Malaysia national player has agreed to join TV 1834 Pforzheim in the Rugby Bundesliga . Bonzer has been playing for Cobra Rugby Club in the Malaysia Rugby League for 6 seasons. A talented player and has played regularly for the national team, Bonzer is ready for bigger challenges. His potential in rugby was once recognised by New Zealand club, Harbour Hawks . The Perlis-born player will bring his playing experience to his new club. TV Pforzheim is one of the top rugby club in Germany. The club was the Rugby Bundesliga champions in 2011, and won the German Rugby Union Championship in 2016. TERENGGANU EDGE SABAH TO WIN AGONG'S CUP

Terengganu won their first ever Agong's Cup title in a nail-biting finale against defending champions, Sabah . Played in heavy rain at the UPM Stadium in Serdang, the five-time winners, Sabah looked set to retain the title until the last few seconds of the match. Timoci Vunimoku turned hero for Terengganu as he delivered the winning try in the last play. Terengganu, powered by nine national players and four Fijians, made four tries and three conversions while Sabah managed two tries, one conversion and four penalties. Josaia Tokarua , Amirul Mukminin Amizan , captain Mohd Syahir Asraf Rosli and Vunimoku made the tries for Terengganu while Amirul Mukminin scored all the conversions. Sabah got their points from tries by Sakiusa Terence Gavidi and Wilmer Wilfreddoline , with three successful penalties by Mohd Fairuz Abdul Rahman . It is a historical moment for Terengganu Rugby. JOHOR DT CRUISE TO MALAYSIA CUP VICTORY

Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) completed their M-League double after defeating Kedah 3-0 in the Malaysia Cup final. The Super League champions did not face much problems to tame the Red Eagles at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday. JDT opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Leandro Velazquez . Eight minutes later, Safawi Rasid doubled the lead for the Southern Tigers . Kedah struggled to stop their opponent as they were without centreback Renan Alves and rightback Rizal Ghazali due to suspension. Syafiq Ahmad added the third for JDT after the break to sealed their victory. It is only their second Malaysia Cup title, after winning it in 2017. SOUTH AFRICA BEAT ENGLAND TO WIN RUGBY WORLD CUP

South Africa outplayed England in the final to win their third Rugby World Cup 32-12 in Yokohama on Saturday. The Springboks dominated the throughout the match as England struggled to repeat their semifinals performance. Siya Kolisi became the first black man to captain the South Africa and lift the World Cup. After a brilliant display against defending champions New Zealand in the semi-finals last week, England were the favourites to win their first World Cup since 2003. On the other hand, South Africa survived a tight game with a narrow 19-16 victory over Wales to secure their place in the final. Both teams suffered early setbacks. England’s Kyle Sinckler had to leave the field after he collided with teammate Maro Itoje ’s elbow. The Boks then lost Lood de Jager after he injured his shoulder in an attempt to stop a charging Billy Vunipola . But the Springboks, who won the tournament in 1995 and 2007, dominated the breakdown and hammered the English scrum. E

JILBON RC, UPM LADIES ANGELS WIN AT UPSI 10'S

Jilbon Rugby Club claimed the 2019 UPSI 10’s Mens Open title after a 21-5 victory over Royal Selangor Club   (RSC) in the Cup Final. Jilbon showed consistency throughout the two days tournament held at the Padang Istiadat, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Tanjong Malim. FTK Ostrich and Manjong Merong finished third, while Python Rugby Club won the plate after beating Royal Engineer Rugby Club (RER) 7-0.  In the Women Cup final, UPM Ladies Angels beat P oly Unicorn 12-10 to win the category. Home side UPSI Ladies Eagles bagged the Plate after defeating UM Zombies 5-0. SSTMI won the IPT category with a 19-7 victory over UKM in the Cup Final. UPM Angels and UiTM Highlanders settled for third, and UPSI beat UMP 12-0 to win the Plate. BROBA claimed the Veteran title after a 15-0 win against Vets Blues in the Cup Final. Clifford Legends defeated KKB 12-5 to bag the Plate. About 40 teams participated in the 2019 UPSI 10's which is the fourth edition.
