UPM SERDANG ANGELS WIN KUCHING SEVENS

UPM Serdang Angels clinched the Kuching 7's title after defeating home team KRFC Blackcatz in the cup final. The 2015 Champions completed their perfect run at the tournament with a comfortable 29-5 victory. Blackcatz entered the cup final after beating Wolfpack 24-0 in the semifinal, and the Angels cruised into the final with a 29-0 win over SHOAW Warriors . The young and dangerous SHOAW Warriors showed huge potential as they stunned Wolfpack 17-7 to take the third place. Perantau Brothers edged WORC 17-15 to win the Plate category. GB13 Skulls claimed the Bowl tile by beating WORC Juniors 15-5 in the final. Unimas Lycan settled with the Shield after beating Penrissen Highlanders 17-0. Sibu Goldies secured the Kuching 7's veterans title after winning over SAJOHA Legends and KRFC Legends . As champions, UPM Serdang Angels took home RM2000. AJEETESH SANDHU BAGS FIRST ASIAN TOUR TITLE AT YEANGDER TPC

Ajeetesh Sandhu of India fired a two-under-par 70 to claim a dream victory at the US$500,000 Yeangder Tournament Players Championship (TPC) on Sunday. The 28-year-old returned with a winning total of 12-under-par 276 to defeat Johannes Veerman (71) of the United States by one-shot at the Linkou International Golf and Country Club . Local star Lu Wei-chih posted a 72 to miss out on the chance to win the Yeangder TPC for the second time in his career. Lu fired four birdies against as many bogeys to claim his best result since winning the 2016 Mercuries Taiwan Masters . Sandhu kept a cool head to romp to his first Asian Tour victory. The win was a huge lift in his career as he missed out on a Tour card at Qualifying School earlier this year. But the lady luck was against the home club when Kosas Rebels scored the vital try in the sudden death extra time. AMERICAN SNYDER CRUISES TO SECOND ADT WIN AT THE PGM MNRB CHAMPIONSHIP

Overnight leader Blake Snyder was rewarded for his patience when he closed with a four-under-par 68 to win by two shots for his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title at the PGM MNRB Championship on Saturday. The 25-year-old American, who held a one-shot advantage heading into the final round, fired five birdies against one bogey for a winning total of 15-under-par 273 at the Damai Golf and Country Club . John Catlin , also of the United States, came in runner-up after signing for a 67 while Singapore's Johnson Poh returned with a 69 to take third place on 277 at the RM200,000 (approx. US$44,600) ADT event. Thailand's Nirun Sae-Ueng battled to a 72 to settle a further shot back in fourth while countryman Jakraphan Premsirigorn carded a 71 to sit in fifth place on 280. Gavin Green of Malaysia shed his bridesmaid tag by winning his first Asian Tour title at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters on Sunday, and dedicated the win to his late grandfather. After finishing runner-up three times this year, Green closed with a one-under-par 71 to pull off a style two-shot victory at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club . He finished with a winning total of nine-under-par 279 to defeat his closest challengers Adilson Da Silva (69) of Brazil, Scott Vincent (70) of Zimbabwe, Keith Horne (71) of South Africa and overnight leader Juvic Pagunsan (74) of the Philippines.   Green was delighted to taste success and overcome the heartbreak in Korea where he finished second and was later informed that his grandfather, Gerald Green, passed away from a heart-attack. Singa Front Row Club (FRC) beat Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) in the cup final to win their first ever NS Royal Sevens title. The Front Row Club edged SCC 17-14 in a thrilling finale at the MPS Field in Seremban on Sunday. FRC got through to the final after defeating home club NS Wanderers 26-12 in the last four, while SCC beat SSTMI Tsunami 24-0 in the semifinals. Cobra Rugby Club claimed the Plate after beating NS20 19-7, and Tsunami Eagles bagged the Bowl as they hammered Singapore Police B 36-0. South Africa's Mathiam Keyser mounted a strong comeback with a final round two-under-par 70 to clinch his second Asian Development Tour win at the PGM Labuan Championship on Saturday. Keyser's winning total of six-under-par 282 was enough to hand him a two-shot victory over Thailand's Sorachut Hansapiban at the Labuan International Golf Club where the RM200,000 (approximately US$44,600) ADT event was staged. Thailand's Panuwat Muenlek , who held a share of the overnight lead, finished in tied-third together with Sweden's Oskar Arvidsson after he closed with a 75 for a 285 total.
