PENGUINS WIN COBRA 10S AFTER EDGING DBKL IN FINAL

​Penguins International claimed the 45th edition of COBRA 10s Rugby Tournament title. The Penguins beat DBKL Sports Club (DBKL) 27-21 in a hard fought final at MBPJ Stadium on Sunday. Tries from Antonio Kiri Kiri , Lu Laulala , Ben nee-nee , Name Favia and conversion by Nick Smith sealed the victory for the Penguins. DBKL gave a good fight throughout the match, but a last minute try killed their chance. Penguins took the top prize money of USD10,000. They have won the Cobra 10s six times since 1993. DBKL made it to the final after beating host, Cobra 19-12, while the Penguins defeated 2013 champions, Borneo Eagles 24-19 in the other semi final match. RUSSEL KNOX OVERTAKES KEVIN KISNER TO CLINCH WGC-HSBC CHAMPIONS

​Scotland's Russell Knox created history when he held off the challenges from a star-studded field by carding a final round four-under-par 68 to win the WGC-HSBC Champions on Sunday. Knox's four-day total of 20-under-par 268 was enough to hand him a two-shot victory over American Kevin Kisner and become the first Scotsman to win a World Golf Championship at the Sheshan International Golf Club . England's Danny Willett and Ross Fisher shared third place on 271 while American Dustin Johnson and South Africa's Branden Grace were a further shot back in equal fifth place. The final day charge by China's Li Hao-tong did not materialize and he had to settle for a share of seventh place with three other players that included Jordan Spieth of the United States. Knox came into the final round holding a share of the lead after he had returned to finish the last hole of his third round with a birdie due to fading light the previous day. The Scotsman

LORENZO WINS WORLD TITLE AS ROSSI FINISHED FOURTH AT VALENCIA

Jorge Lorenzo claimed his third MotoGP world championship with victory at the Valencia Grand Prix yesterday when he withstood Yamaha teammate Valentino Rossi's charge through the field. Rossi climbed to fourth despite starting from the back of the grid as punishment for kicking Marc Marquez off his bike at the Malaysian Grand Prix . However Lorenzo held off pressure from Honda duo Marquez and Dani Pedrosa to lead the race from start to finish to overcome seven-point deficit heading into the final Grand Prix of the season, and claim the championship by five points. With Rossi sure to finish fourth, though he needed both Hondas to pass Lorenzo to win the title. Marquez remained glued to Lorenzo's back wheel for the majority of the race, whilst Pedrosa made made a late charge on the penultimate lap. However the battle between the two Hondas for second place eased the pressure ever so slightly on Lorenzo as he was able to negotiate a nervy final lap to secure

KISNER HOLDS LEAD IN SHANGHAI

Kevin Kisner saw his overnight lead reduced to one after he carded a two-under-par 70 to take the third round clubhouse lead at the WGC-HSBC Champions on Saturday. The American traded four birdies against two bogeys for a three-day total of 16-under-par 200 but has compatriot Dustin Johnson, China's Li Hao-tong and Scotland's Russell Knox all piling the pressure at 15-under. Knox will return to finish his round on Sunday morning as he still has one hole left to play after darkness cut short his third round at the Sheshan International Golf Club .   Australia's Scott Hend, second on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, remained firmly in contention for his World Golf Championship breakthrough after returning with a 67 to trail Kisner by four shots in tied-eighth place at the Shanghai showpiece. Kisner, who had three runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour this year with all of those results coming after play-offs, is hoping to use that experience to secure his victory at the WGC-HS

BRILLIANT O’TOOLE SECURES STUNNING WIN AT PGM TIARA CHAMPIONSHIP

Casey O'Toole  dominated the PGM Tiara Championship when he closed with a sparkling eight-under-par 64 to win his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) title by 11 shots on Saturday. The 25-year-old held a four-shot lead heading into the final round, fired nine birdies against a lone bogey to win on 21-under-par 267 total at the RM200,000 (approx. US$50,000) ADT event. He picked up a winner's cheque of US$8,127, stretching his lead on the ADT Order of Merit to US$52,393, and received six Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points courtesy of his career breakthrough victory at the Tiara Melaka Golf and Country Club . O'Toole, who has notched eight other top-10s this season, proved his rising star credentials with a final round fireworks display which saw him tie his personal best 18-hole score and set a new 72-hole record for himself. KEDAH WIN, JDT II OUT OF MALAYSIA CUP

PIALA MALAYSIA: JDT II 2 - KEDAH 4   Kedah beat JDT II with a  4-2 win at Pasir Gudang Stadium in Johor Baharu on Wednesday. The win also ensures Kedah qualified to the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals. Kedah had a great start through Chidi Edeh goal in 17th minute. JDT II put the score back into level through Nicolas Delmonte 10 minutes later. Akram Mahinan made it 2-1 for JDT II with a quick counter attack a minute later. Second half resume  with Kedah trailing with one goal down. Baddrol Bakhtiar put an equalizer in 63rd minute before Liridon Krazniqi sealed the win for Kedah in 76th minute. Kedah coach Tan Cheng Hoe was happy with his boys performance after seeing them through to the next level. Kedah finished second in Group A with ten points while JDT II laid in bottom with four points after six games played. SELANGOR AND FELDA CONFIRM QUARTERFINALS SPOTS

​ PIALA MALAYSIA: FELDA UNITED 3 – SELANGOR 2 Felda United came back from a goal down to record a 3-2 victory over Selangor  in the Malaysia Cup Group C match on Wednesday. The win takes the Fighters together with the Red Giants into the quarterfinal stage.   Selangor took the lead at the Selayang Stadium with a goal by Shazlan Alias in the 38th minute. I rfan Bakti boys could not find the right tempo as the first half ended with 1-0 to Selangor.   Felda United came on with stronger after the break. They made dangerous attempts from the restart and Thiago Augusto finally grabbed the equalizer in the 48th minute. Two minutes later, the Fighters went ahead as Tiago found the net again.   Selangor were losing their ground against the rising home side. Felda United were 3-1 up after 65 minutes, a cross by Zah Rahan hit Robert Cornthwaite for an own goal. Guilherme de Paula made a number of attempts towards Felda's goal, but his spot kick in the 88th minute reduced the deficits
