FEARLESS KUALA LUMPUR READY FOR BIGGEST TEST

Kuala Lumpur may have finished fourth in Pool A, but their Piala Agong 2026 journey is about far more than results and standings. From the opening round, KL showed they belonged among Malaysia 's best. They pushed tournament favourites Terengganu to the limit before narrowly falling short and remained highly competitive throughout the competition. While luck may not always have been on their side, their performances earned respect across the tournament. What makes this team special is its foundation. More than 80 percent of the squad consists of players developed through the Kuala Lumpur Rugby League . These are local talents who have worked their way up through the KL rugby system, proving that dedication and hard work can compete with the best. VIOBA BLUES Vioba Blues etched their name deeper into Kuala Lumpur rugby folklore by clinching a third consecutive KLR League title, completing another dominant and unbeaten campaign in the KLR League 2025, the annual rugby championship organised by the Kuala Lumpur Rugby Union . The champions sealed the title with a commanding victory over a resilient SJAA Eagles side in the final match of the season. Vioba struck first in the opening half when Naufal Qayyim crossed for a crucial try, with Jauhar Rosazha adding the conversion. SJAA showed admirable fight and ambition, but missed two key penalties that proved costly, allowing Vioba to head into halftime with a 7–0 advantage.
