KELANTAN BEAT PUTRAJAYA IN BANGI

​ AGONG'S CUP: KELANTAN 18 - PUTRAJAYA 13    Kelantan moved into semifinal stage after winning their match against Putrajaya 18-13. The 2012 Agong's Cup Champion picked an early lead just two minutes after the start. Muhammad Nazreen Fitri did not make mistake from the awarded penalty. ​ Eighteen minutes later, Mohd Nazreen doubled the lead from another penalty. Mohd Amir Aswad gave Putrajaya some hope after scoring two penalties in the 35th and 39th minutes. Muhamad Hafzan Bakri handed Kelantan a strong lead before the break with a try in the 40th minute.  ​​ Putrajaya resumed the match with more offensive approach. Though, Kelantan backs were hard to beat. Putrajaya reduced the deficit with a try from Syed Muhammad Faiz , before Mohd Amir added on with his conversion. RED WARRIORS TAKE A COMFORTABLE LEAD

​ MALAYSIA CUP: KELANTAN 3 - KEDAH 1 Kelantan displayed a brilliant performance to beat Kedah 3-1 in their Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match in Kota Bharu on Friday. The home side took control from kick off and gave their fans an early celebration just after seven minutes with a goal from Francis Forkey Doe . Being the deadliest striker in the Red Warriors squad, Forkey Doe doubled the lead with a second goal in the 24th minute. Kedah played in a heavy pressure inside the full house Sultan Mohamad IV Stadium and failed to stop the attacks by Kelantan. Despite an improved performance in the second half, Kedah found themselves three goals down as Fakri Saarani scored the third goal for The Red Warriors to add more misery for the visitors. TERENGGANU MARCH INTO SEMIFINAL WITH HAFIIZH LATE TRY

​ AGONG'S CUP: ATM 18 - TERENGGANU 23 Terengganu overcame the threats from ATM and win their quarterfinal match 23-18. Fresh from their big win over Kuala Lumpur (65-0), Terengganu players were filled with confidence. ​ ATM took an early lead just seven minutes into the game. However, Terengganu collected their first points from a penalty by Mohamed Faiz Abdul Rashid three minutes later. Terengganu took over the lead in the 18th minute when Mohamad Faiz converted after a try. Terengganu moved into stronger position after scoring another penalty in the 30th minute. At half time, Terengganu were ahead with 16-10. ​ ATM returned to the pitch for the second half with greater determination. They picked 8 points from a penalty and a try to take over the lead with 18-16. Though, Mohd Hafiizh Zainal turned hero for Terengganu when he delivered a late try in the 79th minute. PDRM BURY SELANGOR HOPE FOR THE QUARTER FINALS

​AGONG'S CUP: PDRM 90 - SELANGOR 5 After fails in attempt to beat the defending champion, Johor at Johor Bahru last week, Police have came back stronger to complete their second match mission. This time, at UKM Bangi field, The Cops has defeated Selangor with no mercy after gaining a big margin against The Red Giants with 90-5 score. A good performance shows by the scrum half Mohamad Fazrin and a flanker Muhamad Safwan has take The Cops lead the game with 52-0 in the first half. Neisiasi Nakia, Shah Izzat and Muhamad Safwan has put an effort in contributing a try followed by conversion from​ Mohamad Fazrin which saw police getting an eight try and six conversion during the first half run. ​ Selangor looks gloom in the second half after The Cops double their effort to extend the streak with another 6 try and 4 conversion and The Red Giants get a consolation, thanks to Amir Syafiq Jumaidi try in 70th minute to take the game 90-5 until end. ATP MALAYSIAN OPEN: NISHIKORI BEATS BENNETEAU IN FINAL

​​ Kei Nishikori of Japan clinches his first Malaysian Open title, becoming the first Asian to win the ATP World Tour 250 series tournament. Nishikori beat fourth-seeded Julien Benneteau of France 7-6 (4), 6-4 in the final at the Putra Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. ​ The rising tennis star had already made headlines when he qualified to the recent US Open final, making him the first Asian man to make a Grand Slam singles final. Fresh from playing in his first Grand Slam final, the 24-year-old Nishikori claimed 72 percent of his service points in the final to wrap up victory in 1 hour 47 minutes. ​ Fourth seed Benneteau took the lead 3-1 in the first set, but Nishikori fought back to force the set to tie-break, which he won 7-4. ​ AGONG'S CUP: NEGERI SEMBILAN 20 - KEDAH 5 Negeri Sembilan took the advantage of playing at home by defeating Kedah 20-5 in Mantin last Saturday. The 2012 finalist displayed a solid performance against the traveling visitor. ​ Negeri Sembilan scored their first points from a penalty in the 6th minute through Mohd Noor Jefri . Seven minutes later, Muhammad Shabirin Wahab increased Negeri Sembilan's lead with try. Kedah tried to stop Negeri Sembilan's offensive approach. However, the homeside got another try from William Joseph Yasker in the 32nd minute. Kedah were more organized in the second half. But Negeri Sembilan still managed to grab another try in the 57th minute through Finian Peter . ​ Kedah did not give up, while Negeri Sembilan slowed down a little bit after leading 20-0. ​​ SULTAN SELANGOR CUP: SELANGOR 2 - SINGAPORE 1 Selangor put a brace to hold up the Sultan Selangor Cup for the third year in a row after defeating Singapore with a 2-1 win at Shah Alam Stadium last Saturday.Playing infront of 70,000 home crowds, the Red Giants looks fierce and strong and Selangor almost get an early lead in 30th minutes with a strike from Paulo Rangel but were denied by The Lions defense.
